    Lightbulb Seat lowering and customization

hei guys, as promised my seat is at the workshop. the "artist" has removed 3 layers of foam (3 cms less) see pics below. Also he has realized that in the plastic base, there is a sort of a cube shape which is the bloody risponsable of the limited confort of the seat, if removed it, we will gain 1 cms extra also. Great PRO!!!! Will change cover too.

3 layers of foam removed. 3 cms lowered

Removing plastic cube shape thing from seat base, which made it unconfortable. another cm gained.

so, altogether will allow me, to have a much better seat with gel pad, better looking, and no need to manipulate bike geometry by touching suspension links

Seeing this finally made me pull the trigger and shave my seat as well.
Mine looks so much worse especially since I don't have a foam shaver.
It does seem to be a similar height to what it was before since I also added a gel for comfort but it's 3/4 inch tall.
I left the front hole thin on purpose so when I hit a road bump, it wouldn't hurt my balls as much.

I am thinking of shaving mine too...the seat that is. But in my case I want to replace the removed foam with softer stuff as my problem seems to be the seat being too hard and causing hot spots at the top of my legs....and round the family jewels. So OP show us what it looks like...please.

ANy issues with shaving the seat and your legs being closer to the shifter and rear brake?

I bet shaving your seat will drop a jean size

Do you have pics of the seat on the bike? I'm curious to see how it turned out.
