I wondered why I never got the TSB, but then I realized the Ducatis were 2008 models, which we picked up in 2007. We got His and Hers bikes the same day, and I was riding mine home as my wife drove hers home in the truck. After my tailgate turned into a "Taco" (see what I did there), I went and traded it in sometime in Nov. of 2007 - almost exactly when the TSB was issued. Ha!

Anyway, looking at the TSB, I'm not sure what it actually consists of. Just the top edge protector, maybe a little stronger? When you remove the plastic liner, you'll see what I'm talking about. Here's what one guy did to strengthen his...

    Attachment 58225

He added in some heavy steel square tubing to reinforce the tailgate. You can see how there's nothing there but AIR to hold up your bike. Honestly, I don't even know how the truck survived hauling a bike even once! I still can't believe Toyota green-lit that design...

Okay, I'll try not to jack your thread any more, Guitar...
No problem! It looks like the TSB had included installing a reinforcement inside the gate, like you had done to yours.

The same exhaust systems that fit the FZ-09 will fit the XSR-900.

did you see this one ... looks like a new model, haven't seen it before.

@Wtupdoe: Yes: It fits the XSR just fine, even though it states it is for the "FZ-09."

@XSR-900: That new model exhaust just doesn't do it for me. It almost looks clunkier than the stock exhaust. I'm very happy with mine. It's good to see the different options for our bikes, though!

Hey @Guitar1616, you're killing it man. How long does that tire paint last? is it cleanable or do you just reapply? I have the sharpie grease paint pens but havent done it just yet and was glad to see someone else did it. So at least I know it looks nice before i mark it all up.

Nice looking bike but I hate those tail lights. I know they are supposed to be retro but they just seem to stick out in the air all by themselves. I like a more integrated look.
