    XSR900 'Adventure'

    I posted previously a picture as a work-in-progress. Here's my bike finished...

The idea was to make it more rugged and more practical.

    XSR900 'Adventure'-main_sm.jpg

Protection: SW-Motech Headlight guard, SW-Motech Skid Plate, Givi Crash bars, R&G radiator guard
Comfort: Yamaha front cowl, pro-grip gel grips, rubber footpegs, adjustable levers, tank grip
Practicality: canvas saddlebags with custom frame, combination helmet lock, much louder horn.
Style: led turn signals, fender eliminator, and black paint or plasti-dip... almost everywhere

That's a very awesome build! Owning a motorcycle is all about "making it yours," isn't it!?!?!

    Nice, I like the look!

How do you like the Yamaha front cowl?

Thanks to all for the appreciation!

The Yamaha front cowl is great. It's surprisingly efficient and is really well done.
It's a bit of a pain to install, because of the allen bolts. Someone, somewhere recommended to cut an allen key to be able to install it without removing the headlight. I'd advised against it, because 1) removing the headlight is simple, 2) if you really don't want to remove it you can substitute the allen bolts with flat head bolts and keep you tools intact.

The front cowl is not compatible with the SW-Motech headlight, so it was a bit of a struggle (and some Dremel grinding), which left my windshield slightly market. Hence covering it with black paint. I rather like it that way, but keep in mind the original aspect is different.
