XSR900 'Adventure'

This is a discussion on XSR900 'Adventure' within the XSR900 Builds forums, part of the Yamaha XSR900 Cafe Racer Forum category; Slap some TKC80's on there and perhaps some more forgiving suspension and you have made yourself an awesome UJM "scrambler"!...

That bike looks sweet! It's kind of giving me the itch to start modding mine a bit more...

Could you please link to, pro-grip gel grips, rubber footpegs, adjustable levers and the mirrors?

    The bike looks awesome!

    Sure:

    Footrest - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H5JOAXM/
    Grips - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WO8MKY/
    Levers - CNC Clutch Brake Levers Fit for Yamaha YZF R1 R6 R125 FZ6 FZ1 MT09 MT07 FZ600 | eBay
Mirrors - CRG Hindsight Bar End Mirror - RevZilla (you also need RhinoMoto Bar End Mirror Mounts for FZ's 01-15 - SoloMotoParts.com)

The cheap Chinese parts (levers, footpegs) seem to be of good quality and fit like a charm by the way.

    Well done!
A question about the skid plate- how easy is it to access the drain plug?
I have the other engine spoiler on my FZ and had to drill a hole to access the plug. With the drain plug pointing forward, I was wondering how would you access it with the pan on...

I drilled a hole a hole as well. Hopefully that will be enough for oil change. It looks like there's enough space for a wrench on the left side, where the skid plate doesn't obstruct much.

I'm the one that said cut down an Allen key. To each is own. If your worried about a .50 cent Allen key, don't cut it, take your bike apart ,scratch it and spray paint it. Otherwise, cut your Allen key, do the job, and be done in 5 minutes with no scratches or spray paint.

    Thumbs up

Looks like a bike ready for Mad Max 5.
    I like it a lot.
