    XSR900 Dyno run

    I did a pull on a Dyno the other day at bike night just for the hell of it. It was just a 4th gear roll-on pull. Figured I would post the results.

    Also, the only thing I have done to the bike performance wise is an M4 slip on.

    The torque curve must be really flat since that HP line is virtually a straight line. The HP looks like it starts rolling off (the torque is maximum at HP roll-off) around 80 MPH on the graph which is at ~95 HP (hard to read on that photo). He said the dyno pull was in 4th gear which makes that ~7500 RPM @ 80 MPH. Calculating the torque at that RPM gives ~66.5 ft-lbs.

    HP = (T x RPM)/5252 ... so T = (5252 x HP)/RPM = (5252 x 95)/7500.

    Did you do any fuel management changes with your slip on? ... I'm thinking not. The air/fuel ratio looks spot at ~13 after the initial stab of the throttle as the computer corrected during the pull based on O2 sensor data.

    So if you take a thumb drive with you, you can grab a copy of the plot and the DJ software is free to use at home. Can add cursors to it and step through, play with correction factors, etc. And, you can export whatever plot you want as JPG.

    Dynojet Research Inc. Downloads

    Just a suggestion.
